Douglas Wayne Harrison, 73, of Whitsett passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Wesley Long Community Hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 10, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery with military honors.

Born in Guilford County to the late Wilkie and Marceen Harrison, Doug was a graduate of Southeast High School, Class of 1969. He proudly served with the United States Air Force. Doug retired from Neese's Country Sausage after thirty years of service.

Along with his parents, Doug is preceded in death by wife, Wanda Harrison, the mother of his two sons.

He is survived by wife, Kathryn Welborn Harrison, sons, Brian Harrison and David Harrison (Kelly); granddaughter, Charlotte Harrison; stepdaughter, Devonna Kimrey Shumate; brother, Jimmy Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
