Mr. Eddie James Hutson, 87, of Greensboro, went home to be with his Lord on December 31, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Steve Walsh officiating. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Eddie was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on December 27, 1935, to the late Raymond and Mabel Guthrie Hutson. He was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was retired from Edgecomb Metals and National Steel Service Center.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene Bailey Hutson: his two brothers, Louis Hutson and Bobby Hutson and sisters-in-law, Barbara Hutson and Catherine Hutson

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Karen Barbieri; his grandson, Jason Brewer (Stacey); great grandchildren, Peyton Brewer and Emma Brewer.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 11 am to 12 noon on Saturday, prior to the service.
