Gail Steelman Bryson, 69, of Browns Summit, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Wesley Long Hospital.

An informal celebration gathering will be held at Catalyst Church beginning at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026. The family will receive friends until 12:00pm at the church. Graveside committal will be held at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery 1298 Antioch Church Rd. Wilkesboro, NC 28697 at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026.

Gail was born in Wilkes County, NC to the late Gordon Hal Steelman and Rachel Sue Glass Steelman. She was an avid volunteer and had a true heart for service. Gail devoted much of her time to the 4-H community – recently completing 25 years of service – and she volunteered at her grandchildren's elementary school, and every Tuesday with The Dancing Goat DME. Gail was an avid NC State sports fan, cheering on games of every sport.

In addition to her parents, Gail is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Bryson, Sr. and her brothers Phil, Ken, Thomas, and Gwyn Steelman.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth Cable and husband Wes of Browns Summit, NC; son Eagean "Buddy" Bryson of Davenport, Fl; grandchildren Luke and wife Kamryn, Claire, Brock, and Colby Cable; great-grandchild Tucker arriving in August; brothers Bobby and Perry Steelman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to 4-H of Rockingham County and to The Dancing Goat of Reidsville.

The family encourages casual dress for the services of Mrs. Bryson.
