Geraldine Helen (Jarosz) Gallis

Mrs. Geraldine Helen (Jarosz) Gallis, 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2026, at Hospice Home at High Point, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Mrs. Gallis was the daughter of the late Dan Bernard and Bernice Jarosz. She was of the Catholic faith and worked as an office administrator for several companies. After becoming disabled, she devoted herself to homemaking and enjoyed crocheting, solving word puzzles, playing bingo, and having a green thumb. Above all, she cherished traveling with her husband, Martin Gallis, spending time with her grandchildren and she loved preparing specialty dishes for her family which were perogies and placek.

She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 63 years, Martin Edward Gallis Jr.; her daughter and main caretaker Catherine Gallis, Tammy Sillmon (Tim), Marlene Zimmerman (David), Paula Truesdale, and Barbara Gallis; her brother Ronald Jarosz and his late wife Debbie, her sister Frances Jarosz; along with her treasured grandchildren Sarah Barry, the late Eric Truesdale, Mark Zimmerman (Heather), Matthew Zimmerman (Kristen), Abby Zimmerman, Cailley Gallis, Kyle Gallis (Kayla), AJ Masker (Danielle) and Alexa Zollicoffer (AZ); and several beloved great-grandchildren.
