Mrs. Gloria Leigh Ring Barber, 72, passed away Tuesday evening, October 27, 2026 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

Graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park at 3:00pm on Friday, October 30, 2026.

Mrs. Barber was born in Guilford County, NC to the late Owen Wayne Ring and Ruby Smith Ring. She was the next to youngest of 11 siblings. Family time was most important to Gloria, she treasured the time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. In her spare time, Gloria enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and creating diamond painting artwork.

In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mike” Wayne Barber; and siblings Curtis, Mildred, Phil, and James.

Surviving are her children, Matthew Barber and Beverly Brantley (Terry); grandchildren Brycson Barber and Callie Brantley; and siblings Dolly, Polly, Shirley, Brenda, Mickey, Clyde, and Johnny.
