Janice Carol Crabtree Tippett, 87, died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Faithway Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Tippett was born August 2, 1936 in Guilford County to the late Charlie David Crabtree and Ida Bishop Crabtree.  She was a faithful member of Faithway Baptist Church.  Mrs. Tippett loved to travel, visiting places like England, France and Hawaii, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Lee Tippett; her son, Randy Tippett; and seven brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Tippett is survived by her daughter, Debbie Luke (John Henry Luke, Jr. "Butch"); sons, Joel Tippett, and Jon Tippett (Michelle); five grandchildren, John Henry Luke, III "Trey" (Jackie Sue), Megan Morrow (John), Keith Robert Tippett, Anna Marie Tippett, and Madyson Waynick (Chase); great-grandson, John Bodie Morrow; and two great-grandchildren arriving soon; sister, Martha Tippett (Charles).

The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm, Sunday, January 21, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service, and from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church.
