Mr. John "Joe" Joseph Goodwin, Jr., age 78, passed away Thursday January 12, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

To honor Mr. Goodwin's request, there will be no services.

Joe was born, in Scotland County, to the late John and Agnes Godwin Goodwin, Sr.

Joe loved his technology, from his iPad to his computer and everything in between. He loved connecting with his family and friends on Facebook.  In addition to his technology, he enjoyed woodworking, making jewelry and leather crafts.  He retired from Sara Lee Textile company, in Asheboro, NC.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years Marilynn Goodwin of Randleman; daughters Cynthia Walls (James) of Asheboro and Michele Grubb (Alan) of Randleman; brother Richard Beasley; sister Kathy Welch; granddaughter Taylor Johnson (DJ) and soon-to-be great-granddaughter Lillie Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
