Mr. Lynn Edward East, 64, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at Wesley Long Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Lynn was born in Guilford County to the late Junior Harvey East and Dolores Freeman East. He went to Ragsdale Senior High School, was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, and enjoyed NASCAR. He also liked the NFL and loved teasing his niece Tori when her favorite team, the New England Patriots, lost, especially because he disliked their quarterback, Tom Brady.

Lynn is survived by his sisters, Crystal East and Dolora Nichols; his niece, Tori Overson; and his nephew, Jason Nichols.

In honor of Lynn's life, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Piedmont , 4527 West Wendover Ave., Greensboro, NC 27409.
