Margaret Ann McGehee Whitmire, 83, of Greensboro died peacefully Monday morning, July 17, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Lebanon Baptist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Whitmire was born October 19, 1939 in Lee County to the late Claude and Clara McGehee. She was a bookkeeper by trade working with her late husband. She was a good Christian lady that always looked for ways to help others, especially her family.

Along with her parents, Margaret is also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Lee Whitmire and her sons, David Lee Whitmire and Thomas Whitmire.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Whitmire Jeffries; grandchildren, Heather Boggs, Sarah Roush, Christopher Whitmire, and Candise Starr; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Bobby McGehee; and sister, Christine Young.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1-1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
