Marjorie Garrett Causey, 92, passed away Thursday morning, February 16, 2023.

Known as Margie Causey or Mama Causey by her family, she was an avid gardener and maintained many beautiful flower gardens at her home.  When weather did not permit gardening, she enjoyed creating needlepoint art and working puzzles.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher McKinnie (Kinnie) Causey, her parents Horace (Bud) and Nellie Garrett, brothers Frank, Jack, Joe, Harvey, Ross, Glenn and Howard Garrett, as well as sister Annie Poe.  Surviving are her sons Mike (Hisae), Dennis (Marcine), Stephen (Debbi), Greg (Marjie Reynolds), daughter Rebecca and sister Betty Hull.  In addition, Margie is survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family is grateful to the many caregivers during the past 12 months.  These include special at-home care-giver Bridget Leyva, the staff at Brookdale-Lawndale Assisted Living, Clapp's Skilled Nursing Pleasant Garden, and AuthoraCare Hospice of Greensboro and Burlington. Contributions in Margie Causey's memory may be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church, AuthoraCare Hospice of Greensboro and/or Burlington, or Greensboro Urban Ministry.

The funeral service will be graveside at 1:30 PM Sunday at Alamance Presbyterian Church, 4000 Presbyterian Road in Greensboro.
