Obituary

In Loving Memory of a Beloved Husband, Father and Paw-Paw

With profound sadness yet absolute rejoicing in the promise of eternal life, we announce that Maynard Zimmerman transitioned from this life into the arms of Jesus on September 3, 2026. He was a man of few words, but his life spoke volumes.

Maynard was a devoted husband, father, and Paw-Paw who showed his love through his actions. He was a hardworking man who believed in taking care of his family, doing what needed to be done, and always being there when someone needed him. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and carried that same strength, loyalty, and sense of duty throughout his life. Above all, he loved the Lord, and his faith was a steady part of who he was.

His family was his greatest joy. He loved his wife, watching his children grow, and especially becoming a Paw-Paw. He treasured his grandchildren and loved spending time with them, teaching them, helping them, and making memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. He may not have always said, "I love you," but his family never had to question it. They saw it in everything he did.

Maynard found joy in the simple things. He loved working in the yard, hunting and fishing, getting his hands dirty, and tinkering with just about anything—especially lawn mowers. If something was broken, he wanted to figure out how to fix it. He could make almost anything work and never needed recognition for it.

And then there were the little things that made him uniquely him. Like sneaking into the living room at midnight with a big tub of ice cream and eating it right out of the container. Or his familiar grin and the way he would nod and bob his head. Those ordinary moments may seem small, but they are the memories that will bring smiles through the tears and keep his spirit close.

Maynard taught his family that love doesn't always need to be spoken. Sometimes love is found in a hard day's work, a repaired lawn mower, a fishing trip, a well-kept yard, a quiet moment together, or simply showing up when you are needed.

His wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will miss his steady presence, quiet strength, sense of humor, and the many little things that made him who he was. Though his absence leaves a tremendous hole in their hearts, they find comfort knowing he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

His greatest legacy is not what he built or repaired, but the faith he lived by, the family he loved, and the memories he leaves behind. He was a good, strong, and faithful man—a loving husband, Dad, and Paw-Paw who loved his family and his Lord with his whole heart.
