Mr. Michael Howard Anthony, 70, of Walnut Cove passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 with his loving family by his side.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at George Brothers Funeral Service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mike was born in Guilford County, NC to the late Baxter Milton Anthony, Jr. and Doris Lee Causey Brown. He grew up a member of Concord Church. Mike was an accomplished student athlete who played varsity baseball all four years at Southern Guilford High School. His athletic career continued after high school as a coach for little league baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed playing in baseball and softball rec leagues. He loved to watch the Redskins and Tarheel Basketball with his family. He was an accomplished plumber who retired from a successful career as a plumber with AC Corporation. He was a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience who was glad to share his experience with younger employees. Outside of sports and occupation, he enjoyed hanging out with his buddies at Dan River Restaurant, solving all of the world's problems. He was also an avid hunter and loved his hunting dogs, his critters, and his show goats, which presented many opportunities to travel with his family. Mr. Anthony served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his sister, Shirlene "Michelle" Stoots.

Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Bonnie Knight Anthony; daughter Rachel Anthony; his loyal companions Suki and Alice. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
