Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Stuart Nelson, 72, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Red Cross Baptist Church with Pastor Bud Rowe and Pastor Brett Seawell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Stuart and Viola Caviness; four sisters; one brother; and one half-sister.

Pat enjoyed serving the Lord through her musical and singing talents serving as church pianist for many years.   She also taught Sunday School for several years at Red Cross Baptist Church where she was a member.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom Nelson; daughter, Michelle Rich (Chris); son, David Nelson; daughter, Lisa Nelson (Janet); granddaughters, Crystal (Mike) and Shelby (Paul); eight great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Evans; special nephew, Bryan Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Red Cross Baptist Church.
