Mrs. Peggie Ann Hennis McCuiston, 93, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00pm at Burnetts Chapel Church, where she was a long time member. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. She will be placed beside her loving husband of 73 years who passed away this spring, Mr. Jimmie "J.C." Clark McCuiston.

Mrs. McCuiston was also preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Arrettia Hennis; and brother, Coy William Hennis.

Peggie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for her family. Peggie worked for Western Electric for a brief time before becoming a devoted wife and mother. She loved tending to her gardens, canning and cooking from her harvest. In her spare time she enjoyed piano, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles. She also enjoyed line dancing and square dancing. Her family will treasure their fond memories of playing card games with her, and enjoying her delicious cooking and baking. She would often say, "I'm so blessed by my family," but they are the ones who count her as their blessing. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Franklin (Joe); grandchildren, Bradley (Katie), Jennifer (Phillip), and Peggie (Jason); great-grandchildren, Zach, Chloe, Will, Cara, Abigail, Amelia, and Riley; family and special friends whom she loved.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burnetts Chapel Church or to Vickrey Chapel Church.
