Peggy Sue Trivette Gerringer, 88, of Greensboro passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Community Fellowship Church with burial to follow at Greenhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:45 am at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Gerringer was born March 10, 1935 to the late Edgar and Ola Trivette. She began her banking career with the former North Carolina National Bank and retired from Bank of America. She was an active member of Community Fellowship Church where she once served as Sunday school teacher. Peggy loved to paint and her family cherishes her prints she created. Along with her late husband, Peggy loved to travel in their RV visiting most of the states and traveled abroad to Africa, Jerusalem, Russia, and Mexico to name a few. They also volunteered at the Avon Park Camp Meeting and Community in Avon Park, Florida.

Along with her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Bune Gerringer, Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Bune Gerringer, Jr. (Jo Ann) and Michael Scott Gerringer; brothers, Jay Lee Trivette (Sue), Luther Trivette (Christyna), and Harry Trivette (Glenda); sisters, Ruth Coble (Norman) and Elaine Marion (Ray); four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
