Mr. Riley E. Montgomery, 86, of Whitsett, passed away on January 15, 2023, at his home and surrounded by his loving family.

The family will have a memorial gathering on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Mr. Montgomery was born in Guilford County on May 3, 1936, to the late Ohma and Elnora Toler Montgomery. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kay Clark and his brother, Phil Montgomery. He was formerly a member of Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church. Mr. Montgomery was retired as Regional Vice President from Carolina Steel after many years of service. Following retirement, he was employed with Greensboro Auto Auction and ADP and made many friends. He earned his private pilot's license and was a recreational pilot spending many fun times with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Lowdermilk Montgomery; daughters, Lynn Montgomery (Doug Jones) and Lisa Conklin (George) and his grandchildren, Cole Conklin (Greer) and Anna Conklin.
