Obituary

Ronnie H. Jessup "Ron", 92, of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 27, 1934 in Johnston County, NC and graduated Greensboro Senior High School (Grimsley High School).  As a teenager he worked for the Carolina Theater and that began his love for old movies.  After leaving high school he enlisted and was a proud Navy Veteran that sailed the USS Toledo (CA 133) from 1952-1956.  He worked many jobs throughout his life but found his passion was helping others in food supplement and vitamin benefit education.  He was an excellent salesman that never met a stranger and was a gifted joke and storyteller.  He enjoyed listening to others and making lifelong friends.  Above all, he was a devoted Christian throughout his life and lead by example.  He was an exceptional father, family man and sports enthusiast.  His favorite past time was spending days with family, huddled in the kitchen eating, talking and laughing.  We were so blessed to have him as our Dad and Grandparent, always so kind, encouraging and patient with unconditional love for all of us.

His three children survive him.  Gigi Melton (Randy), Tina Kennedy (Dan) and Charles Jessup (Nicki), four Grandchildren, Danielle, Aaron, Zachary and Jesse and four great grandchildren, Elijah, Quinn, Jasper and Zelda.

He was preceded in death by his bride Dora and his parents, Virginia and Charles "Red" Jessup.

A private ceremony will be held with family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Hospice at Authoracare.org.

The family sends their sincere appreciation to Blumenthal Health & Rehab and AuthoraCare for their commitment and tender service for our loved one.
