Rosemary "Lori"
Lorine (Mann) Vaden
Oct 9, 1966 — Jun 8, 2023
Rosemary "Lori" Lorine Mann Vaden, 56, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at her home.
Per her request, there will be no public services held.
Lori was dedicated to her 23-year career and was a loyal colleague at Optum UnitedHealth and had many roles there thru her tenure, but her favorite role was as a research analyst, uncovering insights into health care data to develop strategies for better healthcare at lower costs. She loved saving clients' money. She made a lasting impact with all those who worked with her. She often referred to her colleagues as family, and what a blessing it was to work with such wonderful people.
Lori loved all things animal, and never surprised her family and friends, with how big her heart was in rescuing. With her brave & bold personality stepping in when an animal needed a loving and caring hand. So many stories of rescue and safety she provided to many.
Lori's passions also included being a breeder of AAA AKC Australian Shepards, and also owning as many horses as she could, including several mini horses as well. She was committed to giving all of her animals the best life, and it showed in the many awards she received in the various competitions thru out NC and Florida.
Lori's smile shinned the brightest when she was either entertaining family and friends, making memories at Belew's Creek, boating, tubing, and grilling out; loving on her dogs, Jolene, Bonner, and Angus; or riding her beloved Appaloosa horse named Cutter, bareback thru local trails and streams and on her farm in Pinnacle. She always said " my Appy makes me happy ".
After being diagnosed 2 years ago with congestive heart failure, Lori was determined to overcome the many challenges that came along with that. Unfortunately, she lost that fight this week.
Her smile, laughter and sense of humor, will be missed by so many, and has left a lasting impression on all her knew her. We will hold the countless memories close with the ache of losing her. Her nieces and nephews were the lights of her life.
Ms. Vaden was preceded in death by her parents, Jason and Patricia Mann; and her brother, Jason "Donnie" Donald Mann, Jr.
She is survived by her siblings, Robert Mann, Elizabeth Eubanks, and Anna Mann Soudrette (Mark); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom she loved and will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Horsepower Therapeutic Learning 4537 Walpole Rd. High Point, NC 27265.
