Mr. Samuel "Sam" Grant Neese, 90, of Wendell, NC, passed away on January 11, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service and a graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Westminster Gardens.

Mr. Neese was born in Guilford County on February 8, 1933, to the late Arnold and Myrtle Dempster Neese. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Becky Neese and his second wife, Carol Neese. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Korean Conflict on the USS Helena (CA-75) and the USS Toledo (CA-133). He continued his service with the US Merchant Marines until his retirement.

He is survived by his son, Alex Grant Neese (Amy) and his grandson, Harrison Grant Neese of Wendell.
