Shelia McGhee Green, 77, of Summerfield died Monday, November 15, 2022 at Wesley Long Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

The family will gather at George Brothers Funeral Service at 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2022 to receive friends. A memorial service will be 2:30 PM Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Central Baptist Church at 1715 NC-68, Oak Ridge, NC 27310. The family will receive friends from 2-2:30 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.

Shelia was a member of Central Baptist Church. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Renee's Nursery School and Kiddie Korners' Nursery School for forty-five years. Shelia was a former member of the Guilford County Board of Education. And she was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 685.

Shelia is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dale Green, Sr.; granddaughter, Stephanie Hatton; great granddaughter, Alaina; and sisters, Robbie McGhee and Pam Green.

She is survived by her children, Renee Hatton and husband Jimmy, Dale Green and wife Cindy, Martha Clark, Sharon McGinnis and husband, Randy, and Angie Greer and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Wesley Hatton, Nick Hatton and wife Amber, Steven Hatton, Hunter Green, Brittany Velasquez and husband Yoer, Jessica Thomas and husband Chris, Shannon Dickerson, Shane Clark and wife Robin, Kim Coleman and husband Jason, Jeffrey McGinnis, Randy Clayton, Jr., Starr Van Hoff and husband John, and Dawn Winslow; great grandchildren, Teagan, Wyatt, Levi, Braxton, Indie, Viridian, Lauren, Erika, Adexe, Leah, Ayden, Remi, Abel, Theron, Landon, Braydon, Logan, Lynzi, Alecea, Trey, Todd, Jason, Rebecca, and Parker; a host of great-great grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Guffey, Brenda Johnson, Donna Green (and her daughter, Danyella), and Becky Taylor and husband, Chester; brother, Terry Green and wife, Betty; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
