Travis R. James, 36, of Greensboro died Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

There will be a memorial gathering from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Travis was a loyal and loving husband, son, brother, and friend. Travis was recently married to the love of his life and completely devoted to his new wife.  He also had a uniquely strong bond with his sister. Travis attended Eastern Guilford High School and went on to work with Summers Flooring.  He loved fishing with his dad and helping his mom with anything she asked, including decorating her house for Christmas. Trav was a true sports fan at heart. He followed the Duke Blue Devils and the New York Giants. He was into all types of music, especially when it was loud. He was known as a pretty good pool player as well.

Travis is survived by his wife, Katie of the home; mom, Amy Wilkerson; dad, Randall James; sister, Caitlin James; nieces, Heaven Cauthren and Emma Roberts; nephews, Caleb Roberts and Jaxson Moon; maternal grandfather, Dennis Wilkerson; GBIL and sister-in-law, J T and Krishna Roberts; uncles, Mickey James, Jody James, Chris Wilkerson, and Dennis Wilkerson; along with a host of cousins, friends, and extended family.
