Virgil Lewis Brewington, Jr., 36, of Greensboro passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2022 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Virgil was a graduate of Smith High School. After high school he went on to pursue a career as a pipefitter and foreman in the HVAC industry. He enjoyed fishing, football, NASCAR and spending time with his kids.

Virgil was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pinky and Brenda Robertson.

He is survived by his children, Cheyenne and Shane; paternal grandparents, Jim "JR" and Waneta Jones of Greensboro; mother, Michelle; father, Virgil all of Greensboro; brother, Michael (Whitney) of Asheboro; brother, Josh of Asheboro; niece and nephews, Savanna, Jackson, and Luke. Virgil also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
