Mr. William "Bill" Berkeley, 79, of Gibsonville, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at his home.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Gibsonville beginning at 2:30pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 2:00pm.

Bill was born October 31, 1946 in Guilford County, NC to the late Sterling Milton Berkeley and Annie Mae Avant Berkeley. He had a successful career as a pipe fitter for over 40 years. Bill had a kind heart and loved to help others. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and he especially looked forward to the annual family trip to Tennessee.  He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville, where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brothers Jerry Berkeley, Larry Berkeley, and Donnie Berkeley.

Mr. Berkeley is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kay Riley Berkeley; son Chad Berkeley (Arpana); daughter Ashley B. Deel (Aaron); grandchildren Cody Deel, Kristina Deel, Yahya Khan, and Daniyal Khan. Also surviving are his sister Shirley B. Robertson; and many loving family members.

In honor of Bill's faithfulness to his church, memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Gibsonville 221 Piedmont Ave. Gibsonville, NC 27249.
