Alice Marlene (McDonald) Baynes

Mrs. Alice Marlene Baynes, 67, daughter to the late Daniel and Katherine McDonald, went Home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 22, 2022.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Jamestown Church of God with Pastor Ronnie Shupe officiating.

Mrs. Baynes was preceded in death by her first husband, James Lester Mobley; and sister, Carol Teresa McDonald.

Alice was a devoted Christian who was always dedicated to putting the Lord first.  She did that through volunteering at her church and spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly.  Alice was always looking for opportunities to help others and loved working with the women’s ministry.  In her free time, she enjoyed planting flowers and going fishing.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Joseph Baynes; son, Jonathan Mobley (Melissa); thirteen grandchildren, with one on the way; one great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Phyllis Owens (Donnie) and Jackie Honeycutt (Early Ray); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom she loved.

The family will receive following the service at the church.
