Allan Wayne Parrish

Allan “Big Al” Parrish, 66, of Greensboro died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Due to poor weather conditions, the service will be 2:30 PM Monday, January 3, 2022 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Al was a graduate of Ben L. Smith Senior High School. He was a ten-year employee with Stamey’s Barbecue where he started working during his high school years. Al is currently employed with Spring Air Mattress Corp where he’s been working since 1986. He was an avid sports fan that could quote stats and was a big fan of the Carolina Panthers.

He is preceded in death by his father, J. D. Parrish along with his brother, Lawrence Smith.

Al is survived by his mother, Jerry Parrish of Greensboro; siblings, Lynn Parrish of Greensboro; Ray Parrish of Angier, NC; Jan Fields of Franklinville; Randy Parrish, Phil Parrish, Debbie Riley, Dena Johnson, and Angie Sims, all of Greensboro; step-mother, Elizabeth Parrish also of Greensboro; `along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
