Mrs. Angelika Maria Gerda Hennig Otte, 78, formerly of Brown Summit, passed away July 2, 2025.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, July 9, 2025 at George Brothers Funeral Service from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A private family graveside will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
Angelika was born April 15, 1947, in Munich, Germany to the late Harry Sickels and Waltraud Emilie Kloden. She was a member of New Bessemer Baptist Church. Angelika enjoyed needlework of all forms – crocheting, knitting, cross stitching – you name it, she had a beautiful hand at it. She also enjoyed seeing her hummingbirds and filling up her bird feeders. Angelika loved birds and dogs, had a compassionate heart and was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Otte was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Otte, Jr.
Angelika is survived by her daughters, Pamela Otte Ingram (Paul) and Renee Otte; grandchildren, Joshua Andrew Ingram (Samantha) and Meghan Elizabeth Ingram Quick (Kevin); great-grandchild Molly Ingram; brother Peter Hennig and a niece and nephew of Berlin, Germany.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Elms at Abbotswood and AuthoraCare Collective for their compassionate care for Mrs. Otte.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Bessemer Baptist Church or to Samaritan’s Purse.
George Brothers Funeral Service is honored to assist the Otte family.
