Barbara Jean (Smith) Hiatt

Barbara Jean Smith Hiatt, 74, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at her residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating.

Barbara was born November 25, 1945 in Surry County to the late Clyde and Delvia Gerlene McCrary Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Casey D.Collins and two brothers, Donnie Gravley and Tony Elium.

Survivors include her children, Michael T. Phillips (Sheryll) and Elisha M. Taylor (Chad Harrelson); four grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Destiny Adkins (Jarrod) and Christopher M. Phillips (Paige); 1 great grandchild, Addison G. Phillips; and a brother, Gary Smith.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
