Bercelia Hooks Hall, 76, of Greensboro went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Westminster Gardens Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm. It will be held at Cody’s Home located at 5714 Thacker Dairy Road Whitsett, NC.
Mrs. Hall was born in Guilford County, NC to the late Billie and Lolita Miller Hooks. She graduated from Smith High School with the class of 1969. Known for her strong work ethic, she began working in bookbinding and continued there for over 53 years until she had to retire, stepping down from overseeing many departments. She was known for her stubborn spirit, which guided her as she raised her daughters with unwavering love and devoted care. She loved her family and the simple things in life. In her retirement, she found a love for traveling, especially to Oak Island, NC and for completing word-find puzzles. Bercelia also found a new friend in “her” dog Toby.
In addition to her parents, Bercelia is preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Hall.
She is survived by her two children, Patty Carpenter (Kerry) and Tracy Thompson (Carl); grandchildren, Cody Thompson (Angie), Kreg Carpenter (Stefanie), Cayla Parnell (Jacob), Kade Carpenter (Lauren), and Kole Carpenter; great-granddaughters August and Melissa; and brother Alan Hooks (Tammy).
George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
