Betty Lou (Jones) Carpenter

Betty Lou Jones Carpenter, of Pleasant Garden, 76, passed away on Friday morning, September 9, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital.

A memorial gathering will be held at George Brothers Funeral Service on Tuesday afternoon, September 13, 2022, from 2:00PM-4:00PM.

Betty was born to the late William Alfred “WA” and Hazel Davis Jones. She enjoyed sewing in her younger years and any sort of needlework more recently. She also enjoyed traveling and was a wonderful caretaker to many people. Betty previously attended Shannon Hills Bible Chapel and Pleasant Garden Baptist Church when her health allowed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Janice Jones Thompson.

Betty is survived by her husband, Dan Carpenter; her children, Lisa Hunt (Tim), Chris Wall (Stephanie), and Erica Chavez (Israel); her grandchildren, Zachary Wall (Lauren), Hannah Young (Brandon), Seth Wall, Julia Chavez, Autumn Chavez, Dylan Pike, and Rebekah Bouchillon; one great-grandchild on the way; nephew, Shonn Oliver; great nieces and nephew, Megan, Paige, Ryan, and Summer; and a host of cousins, family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
