Betty Alice Hamilton

Miss. Betty Alice Hamilton, age 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Shannon Gray Rehab Center in Jamestown.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 17, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Chris Davis officiating the service.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home.

Miss Hamilton was born in Randolph County to the late Boyd and Florence Apple Hamilton.  She had a kind and gentle spirit about her. She was a highly intelligent 1968 graduate of Sumner High School.  Betty faithfully read God’s Word and shared scripture with everyone.  She especially loved her nieces and nephews and entertained them with her wonderful sense of humor.  The family is extremely grateful for the excellent care Betty received at The Shannon Gray Rehab for the past 5 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Owens and brother Ray Hamilton.

Betty is survived by her sister Shirley Davis and husband Roy of Randleman; brother Larry Hamilton and wife Beverly of Lexington; sister-in-law Shelvy Hamilton; brother-in-law Donnie Owens.  Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews and seventeen great nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Youth Fund of Community Baptist Church, 1330 Burnetts Chapel Rd. Greensboro, NC 27406.
