Billie Jean Boling Watson, 97, of Greensboro, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at South Elm Street Baptist Church with brother Jimmy Jones officiating. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Billie was born in Bluff City, Tennessee on July 26, 1928 to the late James Andrew Boling and Mary Miller Boling. She was a longtime member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, played the piano, was a member of the choir and worked in the church office. She was a real estate agent in the Greensboro area for many years, and a member of the Woodlea Community Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas Freeman Watson, Sr.; parents, James A. Boling and Mary Miller Boling; sons, Philip Watson and Jeffrey Watson, Sr.; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Billie and Tom left a legacy of 4 children, Thomas Watson, Jr. (Teresa), Philip Watson - deceased (Vickie), Jeffrey Watson, Sr. - deceased (Susan), and Laura Watson Capps (Ricky); grandchildren, Thomas III (Rachael), Angela (Chad), Elizabeth, Jonathan, Matthew (K), Kimberly (Preston), Stephanie - deceased, Heather (Bill), Pattrick - deceased, Jennifer, Julie, Jeffrey Jr., Justin, Kevin (Kati), Kelly (Luis); great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Caleb, David - deceased, Esther, Grace, William, Nathanael, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Ransom, Brandon, Kristen, Jessica, John, Henry, Jonathan, Scarlette, Spencer, Micah, Toryn, Edynn, Tori - deceased, Liam, Rosie, Jackson, Caleb, Laila, Harrison, Ava, Karter, Kado, Lilly, and Layla; great-great grandchildren, Martin, Ada, Luke, Noah, and Wyatt; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
