Billy Seagraves

Mr. Billy Seagraves, 80, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Concord Friends Meeting with Pastor Greg Creed officiating.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Seagraves was born August 15, 1941 in Wilkes County to the late James Alford and Dorothia Victoria Sturdivant Seagraves. Billy was employed for 61 years at Bonitz Company. He loved raising cows, working on his farm, planting gardens and riding his tractor. He relaxed by sitting on his porch listening to bluegrass music.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by siblings, Ruth Michael, Sammy Seagraves, Kenneth Seagraves, Tommie Ann Hughes and Brenda Stout.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Georgia Seagraves; his children, Craig Seagraves (Kim), Amy Campbell (Ronnie) and Mark Seagraves, (Krista); a sister, Charlotte Davis; a brother, Wayne Seagraves (Gail); 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Hunter and Emma Jo; 3 great grandchildren, Tate, Emilia and Sadie.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00-10:45 am, prior to the service at the church.

The service will be livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord Friends Meeting Building Fund, 5000 Old Randleman Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
