Bobby Gaines Wray

Mr. Bobby Gaines Wray, 83, of Greensboro, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 25, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 30, at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Bobby was born in Draper, NC on March 20, 1941, to the late Forrest and Lillie Weatherford Wray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Lee Wray and Michael Dale Wray and by his first wife, Cornelia Van Harvey, whom he was married from December of 1959 to October of 2005. Bobby graduated from Moorehead High School in 1959. He then joined the United States Air Force and honorably served his country from July of 1959 to July of 1967. After his military service, he was employed with AT & T Corporation from August 1967 until his retirement in October of 2005.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 11 years, Judy Carole Wray; children, Kimberly Reas, Kevin Godwin (Chanda), Kory Godwin and Kristy Godwin; his five grandchildren, David Reas, Macey Faulkner, K.C. Godwin (Samantha), Matt Godwin and Breanna Godwin; three great great grandchildren, Seraphina Godwin, Shiloh Godwin and Calli Reas, his special dog, “Maggie May Wray” and a host of other loving family members and friends.
