Bonnie Carol Adams of Browns Summit, NC passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 25, 2025.
Bonnie was born October 23, 1951 in Greensboro, NC.
She was a proud graduate of Northeast Senior High School class of 1970 and also attended Appalachian State University with a degree in Sociology and later Elementary Education.
Bonnie was a faithful member of Westover Church where she volunteered in the coffee ministry and ushering team, worked with Women’s Missionary groups, and led a decorating team for Christmas. Her passion was teaching children in Kindergarten. She retired from Guilford County Schools after teaching for 29 years. Her passion for God and her love for children transferred to volunteering her summers after retirement at the Ambassador Camp at Lake Waccamaw.
She was the loving aunt to 13 nieces and nephews.
She is survived by Jim Adams of Browns Summit, Tommy Adams (Paula) of Greensboro, and Shirley Adams Beavers (Robert) of Richmond, VA.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Calvin and Carolyn Adams and her grandparents O.I. and Vera Bowman, Treva Head and William Adams.
Family will receive friends at 2 pm Sunday July 27th followed by a celebration of life at 3 pm at Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Alderman of Lebanon Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Bonnie's special care giver Tracey Walker for her special care during this time.
