Brenda Kay (Hines) Burns

Brenda Kay Burns 76 of Greensboro NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 29th 2025 with Ricky Burns by her side.

She faced her illness with courage and grace, and in her final months, she was blessed to be surrounded by her family.

Her sons were by her side every day, tending to her and filling her days with love and comfort.

Brenda was supported by Ricky who spent the past several months helping care for her.

She worked for Sears Roebuck Mail-order on Lawndale Dr for over 20 years where she was known for her dedication, hard work and warm personality that made everyone feel welcome.

Brenda was born September 2, 1949 in Guilford County to the late Richard and Jean Eulene Hines.

Along with her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brother, Steven Hines and sister, Paula Frances Bowman and nephew Daniel Federonich

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Burns of the home; sons, Michael Bolen of Greensboro and Jack Tysinger, Jr. (Crystal) of Ohio; siblings, Wilma Cousanca (Eddie) of Greensboro, Terry Hines (Scarlette) of McLeansville, and Tony Hines of Reidsville, Lois Ellis (Fesley ) of McLeansville, and Dale Hines of Greensboro; grandchildren, Brittany Bolen, Michael Ryan Bolen, Christopher Tysinger, Shawn Tysinger, and Dillon Tomlinson; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Brenda's memorial will be held on November 1st, 2025, the anniversary of our Mother’s passing, sixteen years ago, a beautiful reminder that love continues to connect us beyond time. The memorial gathering will be from 10:30 am -12:30 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.
