Brenda Sue Moore is now healed and at rest in the presence of her savior, and is hanging out with her “favorite person” Henry who preceded her in death after 59 years of marriage.
She was the daughter to the late Reverend Lacy and Eunice Puckett. She was the sister to William, Hilda, Donna, Oral and Sharon whom she loved dearly and was loved greatly by them and she was Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Brenda was Mom to Jeff (Karla), Cheryl (Scott) and Keith (Amanda). Nana to Michael (Lindsey), Matthew (Sarah), Amanda, Katelyn (Jaquel), Josiah and Bekah. GreatNana to Wyatt, Linc, Charlie and Will and special buddy to Easton.
She loved us big, faithfully prayed for us and enjoyed family time. Her witty comebacks, special way of playing Yahtzee, all the camping trips, and the little names that she would call us. She was an excellent cook and sweet baker, the wedding cakes and the many birthday cakes she made for us are a small part of our special memories.
She loved the Lord and served Him faithfully, as could be easily seen through the way she lived every moment of her life. During her life she would love on and serve thousands of students in the Guilford County School system as a Child Nutrition Manager for over 30 years. She enjoyed her time as a Sunday School Teacher, a kid’s ministry leader and volunteered at our church’s summer camp - Camp Maranatha for over 25 years. Sharing Jesus to the kid’s was one of the ministries from her heart.
She was a big encourager, through the many cards/letters she sent to friends and praying for her loved ones, even during her health challenges she continued to encourage us as we witnessed that through her prayer time and the worship music always being played in her home, it was bringing her hope and peace.
One of her most favorite things to do for people, especially when a new baby would be joining a family, was to make quilts. She poured love into each and every stitch of all the beautiful quilts that she made with her own hands.
Words can’t describe how missed she already is and while there is now a huge empty spot in our hearts and lives we are grateful for the time that we were blessed to be with her and call her Mom, Nana, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
