Brenda Sue (Pennington) Robinson

Brenda Sue Robinson, 81, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.

She was born on January 21,1945 to the late Rufus and Ethel Pennington. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys and Lily, infant brother Henry, and her daughter Becky “Maria” Adams.

Brenda belonged to a quilt club at Guilford College United Methodist and also enjoyed the game of golf with her husband and dear friends. She really loved to travel with the love of her life, Danny Robinson whom she married on May 20,1960 at the young age of fifteen. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Gmama.”

She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Danny Robinson; grandchildren Lori Wood (Matthew), Danny Adams, and Shelby Adams; great-grandchildren Hunter Wood and Payton Wood; sisters Sadie McDaniel (Paul) and Helen Gauntt. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
