Candace Arlene (LeClair) Dolan

Candace LeClair Dolan of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at the age of 76.

She was born on November 16, 1949, in Connecticut to Harold and Ruth LeClair. The family moved to Greensboro when Candace was a baby, and it remained her home throughout her life.

Candace was kind, loving, and always willing to help others. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, granny, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved spending time with her family and lifelong friends and enjoyed hosting family gatherings, especially during the holidays. Her holiday ham and Christmas “clunk” gifts were well known and always appreciated. She loved music, laughter, fast cars, taking photos of special moments, and capturing memories of those she loved. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing volleyball and gardening. She also cherished time spent with her poker friends. Candace was outgoing, never met a stranger, and was known for her sharp wit and compassion. She was also passionate about her beliefs.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Wendy Smith; her devoted brothers, Marty and Eddie LeClair; sisters-in-law Jan LeClair and Paola LeClair; beloved granddaughters Autumn Harris and Ashlyn Richardson; great-granddaughters Georgi and Margot Harris; nephews Lonnie Lane, John Lane, Robert LeClair, Michael LeClair; niece Beth Crawford;  Brother Bobby LeClair and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Thomas Dolan; her parents, Harold and Ruth LeClair; her sister, Robin LeClair; and her nephew, Allen Lane.

A celebration of life will be planned for the spring.
