Carl "Ed" Levan

Mr. Carl “Ed” Levan, age 76, passed away Thursday November 16, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.  Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, with Rev. Joe Chandler officiating the services. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Lebanon Baptist Church.

Mr. Levan was born, in Guilford County, to the late Carl Luckie and Mary Stout Levan.  He was of the Baptist faith and was a master mechanic, for over thirty-five years, with Exon and retired from RF Micro Devices after seven years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years Elizabeth Levan; daughter Penny Miles; sisters Ruth Drye and Carolyn Simmons; brother Thomas Levan.

Ed is survived by his children Ellen Varner (Gary), Sissy Jones (Ronnie), Diane Chrisco (Henry), Eddie Levan, and Robert Kennedy.  Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
