Carol Ann Adams (Long), aged 86, was called home to the Lord on July 7, 2024, in Greensboro, NC. Born to this earth on November 30, 1937, in Centralia, Washington, she lived her life as a testament to the virtues of humility, gratitude, and an unwavering respect for all of God’s creation. A devout member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, Carol’s faith was her cornerstone, guiding her through life’s journey with grace and steadfastness. Her spirit, a wellspring of comfort and strength, emanated from her deep-seated belief, touching the lives of those around her. She is survived by her descendants, whom she nurtured with and devotion, embodying the virtues of a Proverbs 31 woman: her children, Todd Shore, Rory Shore, Tori Baker and her husband, Thomas, Nathan Adams and his wife, Karen, and Matthew Adams and his wife, Karen; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Courtney Young, Hunter Shore, Stephanie Baker, Sydney Baker, Seth Baker, Zach McMillan, Araceli Adams, Keaton Adams, Cade Adams, Micah Adams, and Cruz Adams. Additionally, her loving brothers, William Long and his wife, Kay, Richard Long and his wife Cindy, and Dwight Long and wife Nellie. She joins in eternal peace her parents, Jess Willard Long and Louise Emelia Long, who preceded her in passing. The community is invited to a celebration of Carol’s life, to be held in the embrace of her church family at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church on July 14, 2024. Visitation will commence at 1:30 PM, followed by a service at 2:30 PM, as we honor a life rich in love and service. George Brothers Funeral Home in Greensboro, NC, is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that donations be offered in Carol’s memory to the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Samaritan’s Purse. Through these acts of generosity, her spirit of compassion and care for others will continue to resonate in our world.
