Carol Sue (Gregory) Lunsford

Carol Gregory Lunsford, 81, passed away with her daughter by her bedside on April 21, 2022.   A Memorial Service will be held at George Brothers Funeral Service Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.

Carol was born on July 22, 1940 in Patrick County, Va. to the late Garnet Gregory Reed.

Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved spending time at the coast. Carol’s passion was studying the word of God. She reflected Christ and those who knew her called her blessed. She had compassion for everyone and a friend to all.  She reached out to others through her card ministry encouraging and uplifting others.

Carol wrote if anyone asks how I want to be remembered, please say the following:  "I was a Christian, believed in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and thank God for the special lady who took me to church at a very young age. Loved family and friends and thanked God for each one of them."

She retired from Lucent Technologies as a Transportation Analyst, and was a member of South Elm Baptist Church of Greensboro.

Surviving are her daughter Robin Lunsford Langley of Greensboro, grandson Landon Langley of Greensboro, and sister Glynda Cassady of Patrick Springs, Va.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lynette Alexis Langley; her mother, Garnet Reed; sister, Doris Reed and brother Ricky Reed.
