Carolyn Sue (Snead) Hawks

Mrs. Carolyn “Sue” Snead Hawks, 76 passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

The family will have a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Carolyn loved to spend her time working puzzles, cross stitching, and watching NASCAR.  She had a special place in her heart for all of her pets.

Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her parents, Opie and Margaret Snead; great-grandson, Noah Hawks; sisters, Gretchen Toms and Martha Swain; and brother, Opie Snead.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Hawks; son, Bradley Hawks (Vicky); grandchildren, Nicholas, Drew, and Josh; great-grandchildren, Nate Naomi, Nygel, and Alastor; brother, Richard Snead (Patricia); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom she loved.
