Charles Herndon

Charles “Chuck” Herndon, 79, of Greensboro died Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Hospice of Greensboro’s Beacon Place.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Chuck was born in Guilford County to John and Lucille Herndon. He served with the Army National Guard and he retired from AC Corporation. He was a member of the North Carolina Cattlemen’s Association. Chuck attended Community Baptist Chapel and Stockyard Cowboy Church. He also loved to sing gospel music in prisons and local nursing homes.

He is survived by his brother, Phillip Herndon (Sandra); son, Terry Herndon; daughter, Cynthia Herndon Wade; grandchildren, Jordan Williams (Justin) and Taylor Mitchell; and great grandchildren, Kynsleigh Williams and Kasen Williams.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
