Charles Edward Humble

Mr. Charles Edward Humble, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Ed Armfield officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Humble is preceded in death by his wife, Pearl H. Humble; parents, Lester S. and Vivian W. Humble; brothers, Amos Humble and Earl Humble; and sisters, Eloise Wood and Darlene Parks.

Charles was a proud veteran of the US Army National Guard where he served honorably for over 30 years, retiring with rank of First Sergeant. He attended Sure Foundation Baptist Church and Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Humble was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed his time gardening, hunting, and especially saltwater fishing. He and his wife, Pearl, enjoyed working in the garden, growing vegetables, and making trips to the farmer’s market. They also enjoyed traveling to nearly all of the United States, including driving to Alaska. Some of their favorite trips were to the beach.

Mr. Humble is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Brown (Jonah); sons, Stan Humble (Buena) and Harold Humble (Cissy); grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Amber Humble, Andy Humble,  Charles Daniel Humble, and Sheena Brown; great-grandchildren, Haley Brown, Charles Aiden Humble, Savannah Pearl Humble, Nash Humble, Parker Humble, and Hannah Pearl Humble; also surviving are bonus grandchildren, Tammie Clark, Kim Tucker, Kasey Lamm, Derin Daniels and bonus great-grandchildren, Hunter Tucker and Aubrey Gaut.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm at the funeral home on Monday, August 7, 2023.
