Charles "Mike" Michael Horne

Mr. Charles “Mike” Michael Horne, 67, of Ruffin, NC and formerly a lifelong resident of Guilford County passed away on September 25, 2021.

A memorial service to honor Mike’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-10:30 prior to the service.

Mike was born June 21, 1954, in Guilford County to the late Charles Elmer Horne and Willie Mae Wade Horne. He was originally employed with Goodyear and then with Lakeview Memorial Park. Mike took pride in working at Lakeview, treating each graveside with the utmost dignity and respect. He then was employed with Community Transportation helping with the transportation of handicapped individuals. He loved this type of work as Mike was always wanting to help others. He then was employed with Doric Vault Company and continued treating each service as if it were a member of his own family. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Russell Horne; his children, Carlos Nunley, Juanita Staley, April Horne, and Latoya Horne; his sisters, Patricia H. Mcadoo, Sandra H. Ferree, and Wanda H. Beatty; 10 grandchildren and special friend of the family, Eric Pollock.
