Clara Self Ozment, of Greensboro passed away peacefully in her home with her beloved children by her side on October 31, 2020. She was 93 years young and lived a full and vibrant life.  A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Diane Marsden officiating.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She loved traveling over the years with her family and church family. Clara was a member of Carraway United Methodist Church.  She loved working in the church and served on many committees over the years; from President of the UMW, Finance Committee chair, member of the Friendship class, Trustees, Sunday School teacher, only to name a few. Clara loved to work; she retired from Southern Webbing Mills after 50 years of service as “Vice President in charge of Personnel”.  She loved spending time with her family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”

In addition to her parents Luther and Annie Self, she was preceded in death by her husband Julius Ozment of 45 years, her sister Marjorie Wallace, and brothers Luther and Joseph Self. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children:  Julius (Jay) Ozment II, (daughter-in-law Teresa) of Apex NC, Joe Ozment of Greensboro NC, LuAnne Honeycutt, (son-in-law Mikie Honeycutt - deceased) of Greensboro, NC.
