Clara Jean Hunter Pugh, 89, of Greensboro, died Monday July 15, 2024 in her home.
The funeral will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Concord Friends Meeting with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Clara was born September 7, 1934 to the late Raymond Fonroe Hunter and Hallie Tucker Hunter. She attended Pilot Mountain High School and was a 1952 graduate of Sumner High School, where she met her husband of 67 years. She was a member of Concord Friends Meeting.
Along with her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ronald Pugh.
Clara is survived by her sons, William Ronald Pugh and Michael Joseph Pugh, both of Guilford County; grandchildren, Natalie Pugh Schill (Brian), Erin Pugh Hardy (Jonathon); great grandchildren, Rylynn Magnolia Hardy and Lydia Rose Hardy; and her siblings, Raymond Allen Hunter (Penny), Brenda Hunter Inman (WC, deceased), and Larry Fonroe Hunter (Judy).
The family will receive friends at the church at 12 Noon on Saturday prior to the 1:00 pm service.
