Mrs. Clarice Little Burns, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior early on Thursday morning, December 1st, 2022, at Alamance Regional Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Barkley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Clarice was born to the late Lee Roy and Lucille Henshaw Little in Bowie County, Texas. She was a strong Christian who enjoyed reading her Bible and crocheting in her spare time. She truly had a heart of gold and was a loving caregiver to her family. Clarice was formerly employed as a teacher in Louisiana and Texas, and she attended Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Clarice is preceded in death by her brother William Little.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lonnie Joe Burns; her daughter, Tammy Smith (Gary) of Liberty; two grandsons, Jonathan Smith and Hunter Smith (Kimberly); her twin sister, Janice Henry (William) of Texas; sisters Charlotte Shumake of Texas and Wanda Little of Tennessee; as well as many special friends and extended family members who will all miss her dearly.
