Clyde Samuel Elkins

Clyde Samuel Elkins, 85, of Pleasant Garden died Monday, April 14, 2025 at his home.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2025 at Christ Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM at the church prior to the service.

Clyde was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church in Greensboro. He was a graduate of Guilford College. He served with the United States Army attached to the Military Police. Following the military, Clyde served with the Greensboro Police Department, retiring after thirty years. He also worked at the Federal Court House in Greensboro as a Court Security Officer for seventeen years.

Clyde is preceded in death by his brother, Clay Lee Elkins.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Margaret “Tuffy” Murray Elkins; daughter, Christy Michelle Campbell (Brady); and several nieces and nephews, including Nephew Kenneth Elkins (Kathy).
