Debbie Cromer Scoggins Obituary

Debbie Lynn Cromer Scoggins, 64, (born August 5, 1961) was the kind of woman you didn’t forget once you met her. She loved everyone fiercely, spoke her mind, and found joy in the everyday moments that turned into the best memories.  She passed to be with the Lord, surrounded by loved ones,  on December 8, 2025.

Debbie leaves behind her loving husband, Billy Scoggins, who stood by her side through life’s ups and downs. She was mother to John Kelly Smith and Bobby Aaron Stokes, and she loved her family with her whole heart. She is also survived by her siblings; Floyd Cromer, Kathy Robinson, Sherry Dickens and Donna Matthews, who shared a lifetime of stories, laughter, and love with her. Debbie’s greatest pride was her growing family, and she leaves behind nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy.

Debbie knew how to enjoy life. She loved playing bumper-to-bumper, time spent fishing, and enjoyed the  thrill of watching racing in the area. She could spend hours thrifting with her sisters, always excited about the next great find. Whether it was a day out, a good laugh, or simply being together, Debbie made ordinary moments feel special.

Most of all, Debbie loved the Lord. Her faith was part of who she was, and it carried her through life with strength, hope, and a steady heart.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Kat Cromer; her brother, Bruce Wayne Cromer; her sisters, Wanda Faye Cromer and Susan Ann Cromer; and her grandparents, Addie and Charlie Cromer.

Debbie’s absence will be felt deeply, but her love, her voice, and the memories she leaves behind will remain — told in family stories, shared in laughter, and held close in the hearts of everyone who loved her.

The family will be receiving friends and sharing memories on Saturday, December 13, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.
